In 2004, the Missouri Aquaculture Association (MoAA) and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education - Ag Ed (DESE) cooperated to provide grants to Missouri agricultural education programs. The goal of the the joint grant was to assist educators who desire to incorporate aquaculture into their teaching.

Generally, four MoAA grants worth up to $250.00 each are available through competitive application. The successful applications are matched with FV-4 funds so the total funds available to the school are $500.00. All applications need to be received by July 1 to be considered. MoAA and DESE representatives review the proposed projects and notify the recipients according to the FV-4 funding timeline.
