Missouri has an especially diverse aquaculture industry making it difficult to describe a typical aquaculture business.  Many MoAA member businesses are listed in this site under multiple categories because they provide a variety of products and/or services.
 

• A number of members provide fish for stocking private waters.  This is a broad category since it represents a large number of species in a range of sizes from newly hatched to food size. 

• Others provide recreational fishing opportunities ranging from those that charge based on the amount caught to private clubs which offer several recreational opportunities in addition to fishing. 

• Several members provide food-size fish.  Some will clean fish that you catch at their business, custom process a quantity of fresh fish that you order from them, or even sell a finished product such as smoked fish.  Others sell strictly wholesale.

• Other members do not raise fish but provide products or services to the aquaculture industry.
